something like a stitch N bitch initiative in the office….so cool!
however wonderful the patterns in ang moh and jap crochet books are, they tend to revolve ard scarves and thick clothing and blankers which r so impractical for asia
i hope my creations r wearable by me & tat’s a tall order for woollen products given how 怕热 i m!

sigh! mayb it’s a sign tat i should finish watever i haf on hand instead of looking at pattern books, getting inspired and starting another 10 new projects concurrently.
okie, will take stock on my WIP and bags & bags of yarn & plan.
mi got so much yarn i muz stop buying for every idea i haf
i was discussin tis wif karen last evening
the concept is similar to the law of attraction which is ‘the secret’
negative ppl emits negative vibes so i dun like being ard them and having my mood affected
positive ppl are oso ppl magnet juz tat they attract people wif passion and drive and genuinely happy
and the reason i mention tis is becoz ann’s excitement over crochet has rubbed off her to mi
so exciting (it can last for 50 yrs!)
tis book is a treasure trove of hip & cool patterns tat set my heart on fire
mi is so motivated by the beautiful creations tat i can’t decide wat to start on first
i absolutely luv the crutch purses, the one-skein scarf, the jacket (OMG! i’ve been looking for a jacket pattern!), bolero and so many others
and i wana make plushies wif ann! bet the 2 of us, we shall create a crocheted animals collection
mi is doing self assessment of my crochet coz i wana figure out y passion not equal to more results
tink i need to go back to the basics
first and foremost, SUSTAINABILITY
it’s all too well to do an enormous project in my entire lifetime but frankly, the sheer amt of perseverance required juz to finish the project is daunting
so i believe i should focus on smaller projects tat i can actualli complete before i lose interest and use tat to fuel sustainability of tis craft
secondly CREATIVIY
the primary reason for my passion for crochet is the empowerment to create
every project is different even if we follow the pattern 100%
the tension will vary, stitches may not b identifical thru out or the colours may not match the pattern
i am for one, not a great follower of rules and instructions. i like to read them to understand how the effect is achieved and den juz use my gut feel to replicate the design thru my own interpretation
unfavourable circumstances would create a burning platform but tat’s not wat drives mi
it’s my luv for crochet tat will drive mi to pursue it wif all seriousness
