counting stitches December 25, 2007
mi didn’t count my stitches as i made my first bootie
i started with ch 10 and thot both booties would work out to b the same somehow
well the base of 4.5 rnds or 9 rows look pretty similar but when i got to the 3rd row up as i did the front post stitch, the second bootie seems to haf a lot more stitches
i haf tried counting both booties but the no. of stitches r very close. tis mystery is hindering my progress, i haf frogged the rows a couple of times liao….argh!

i like tis one so much better! i tink i finally figured out the shaping
instead of pom poms, mi tied a small bow in front.
i luv how cute tis has turned out, need to finish the other bootie soon b4 javier grows out of them.
can wait to start on a next pair for keith
but before tat, a scarf for karen and something for kerri (exactly wat, i haf no idea yet!)

the progress i made on the way to orchard
and the finished bootie. the opening is way too big for javier’s foot. i m not happy enuff wif my first attempt so i m starting over again. and tis time, i’ll try to do ribbing for the opening wif crochet. i managed to do tis ages ago but can’t recall exactly how it’s done
and i was lazi when i did the pom pom so i onli wound the yarn ard my fingers
obviously, it’s a beli slip slod piece of work lor. looks like one can’t b lazy when making pom poms

mi took public transport on thurs and fri juz so tat i haf some time to crochet while commuting.
tis is my progress from 2 days but i tink it’s way too big. i want javier to b able to wear nw! not one yr later
so i decided to rip it out and redo.
started on it on sun when i was going orchard for ‘hitman’
drove these 2 days so no chance to continue working on bootie #1
